The Lerici Music Festival, now in its 6th edition, is unique. Conceived and founded in 2017 by the conductor Gianluca Marcianò, a native of Lerici, it represents a tribute to his hometown and its residents. The Festival is organised by Associazione Suoni dal Golfo. Its social aim is to promote the music and cultural soul of the Gulf of Poets, of which Lerici is the heart. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy, the “Pearl of the Gulf of Poets”, together with its inhabitants whose history is closely linked to the sea, for centuries has been home to intellectuals and artists from all over the world. In this small town which has long been a magnet for both artists and sailors, Lerici Music Festival draws inspiration, characterised from its start by a strongly international spirit, bringing variety of musical programmes with its guest artists and the originality of its projects. In a few years the Festival has revealed its potential, becoming an engine for local development as well as a driver for tourist enhancement of the area. Lerici Music Festival is a unique event in the international classical music scene supported by the Ministry of Culture (MiC), the Liguria Region and the Municipality of Lerici, while drawing most of its resources from the significant network of friends and enthusiasts who support it and who constitute one of its distinctive features.
