Rubin is a pianist, composer and arranger, born in Ragusa in 1997. At the age of 5 he began his studies with Maestra Javorka Misic. From 9 he studied with Giovanni Cultrera at the Conservatoire Vincenzo Bellini di Catania gaining, in October 2019, a Master’s Degree with 110 cum laude, special honorable mention to be archived as a document of excellence by Aquiles Delle Vigne. He is currently studying with Carmelo Pappalardo and at Accademia del Ridotto in Stradella with Andrzej Jasiński. He studies harmony and composition with Maestro Raffaele Lo Presti, Professor at the A. Corelli Conservatory in Messina.

He has studied with internationally renowned masters such as Michel Beroff, Jörg Demus, Joaquin Achucarro, Valery Piassetski, Roberto Prosseda, Sergio Perticaroli, Leslie Howard, Epifanio Comis and Violetta Egorova.

Winner of the 2nd prize and the special prize for best interpretation of the Sonata in B minor at the 9th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition Weimar – Bayreuth 2018 and more than 40 international competitions including: Leopold Bellan in Paris, Mayenne International Piano Competition (France), Clamo International Piano Competition of Murcia (Spain), Premio Venezia etc.

Recently he won the first prize as the best Italian at the prestigious 66th Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona 2021, the Young Artist Piano Series with Roma Tre Orchestra 2021 and Premio Pianistico Concerti a Teatro 2021 at Villa Marigola, Lerici. 

In 2022 Ruben became a Keyboard Trust artist in London. 

He began his concert career at the age of 13. He performed in concert halls and theatres on tour in Europe and Asia including at La Fenice, Venice; Salle Cortôt, Paris;Weimarhalle (Germany); Recital Hall of l’HKAPA (Hong Kong), Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, Théâtre de Mayenne, Le Théâtre de Laval in France, Teatro Palladium di Roma, etc.

He has played with various orchestras such as Weimar Staatskapelle Orchestra;  l’Orchestra Arturo Toscanini di Parma; l’Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, Orquesta Sinfonica de la Region de Murcia; l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Chernovtsy; Filarmonica di Bacau and Roma Tre Orchestra etc.

He has participated in important festivals like Concerts Grand Salon in Zurich; Milan Piano City;  Oeschberghof Classic Piano Festival; Hong Kong Summer Festival; Conciertos en Águilas; Trecastagni International Piano Festival etc.

Ruben has recorded an album with KNS Classical and one for A2DV Generation 

Ha inciso un Album per KNS Classical with all of Chopin’s Etudes and in 2022 he released 4 albums with IMD Music.   

Together with violinist Marco Mazzamuto he established Duo Brahms. 

Future engagements include his debut in 2023 at Steinway Hall, London and a tour in Paris.
