The program is particularly rich and composite. At the opening of Beethoven's Septet, a composition of 1799 in six movements in the genre of Divertimento, which was a huge success. Then follows a completely different piece such as Raffaele Bellafronte's Concerto (first performed in this version) for Bandoneon and Saxophone Quartet, a composition of great rhythmic vitality that elaborates in a personal and effective way a language that originates from Astor Piazzolla. The rest of the program is dedicated to Tchaikovsky, 180 years after its birth. After a charming flute transcription of Lensky's Aria, we can enjoy the Sextet that the great Russian composer dedicated to the happy moments spent in the many Florentine visits, one of the few chamber masterpieces of an author that we remember above all for the orchestral works and the Operas.
