THE INTERPRETERS

Costanza Principe, piano
Born into a family of musicians in 1993, Costanza Principe, graduated in 2010 from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan under Vincenzo Balzani with top honors, cum laude and distinction. In 2015, she obtained a Bachelor of Music degree with distinction, and in 2017, a Master of Music degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London. In 2020, she graduated with top marks from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, where she studied with Benedetto Lupo since 2017. A winner of prizes in international piano competitions, including the Lilian Davies Prize from the Royal Academy of Music in London, second prize at the Beethoven Society of Europe Intercollegiate Senior Competition (United Kingdom), the International Piano Competition in Lagny-sur-Marne (France), and the International Competition “Premio Pecar” in Gorizia. In addition to her recital activities, Costanza performs in various chamber ensembles and as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Filarmonica Toscanini, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra, Turkish National Youth Orchestra, and the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra. Her debut album, entirely dedicated to the music of Robert Schumann, was released in April 2022 under the Piano Classics label.

Miriam Prandi, cello
Miriam Prandi, although belonging to the generation of young performers, thanks to a musical talent of rare communicativeness and uncommon versatility, stands out with her interpretations as an exceptional personality capable of tackling the solo, chamber repertoire not only as a cellist but also as a pianist. Ms. Prandi is the winner of the 2014 Rahn Musikpreis in Zürich, personally awarded by Chairman Sol Gabetta. Following her performance of the Dvořák Cello Concerto at Zurich Tonhalle, she was praised by the Schweizer Musikzeitung for her “sincerity of expression which is surprising for her young age” and that “one gets the impression that the cellist lives only within her playing.” More recent highlights include celebrated debuts at the Milan’s Teatro alla Scala with Accademia della Scala Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev for the MITO Festival, At the Firenze Opera for Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, l’Auditorium Rai for Unione Musicale di Torino, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Tonhalle Zurich e in veste di solista ha collaborato con direttori come Neeme Järvi, Andris Poga, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Michele Mariotti, Gianluca Marcianò. As pupil of Natalia Gutman in Fiesole and Vienna Ms. Prandi received her Soloist Master degree from the Hochschule der Kuenste Bern where she was a student of Antonio Meneses. She is also strongly influenced by her further studies with Ivan Monighetti. In addition to her activities as a solo cellist and pianist, Ms. Prandi is an avid chamber musician performing throughout Europe in such prestigious venues as Berlin Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Rheingau Music Festival, Konzerthaus Vienna, among others. 2016-2018 she has been member of the delian::quartett and has recorded the entire Bach ‘Art of Fugue’ at the Deutschlandfunk Köln for the label Oehms Classics. Miriam Prandi performs on a cello by Giovanni Grancino (Milan, 1712), a generous loan from Fondazione Pro Canale Onlus.

Clarissa Bevilacqua, violin
Violinist Clarissa Bevilacqua is known to enchant audiences with her dazzling technical skills and deeply inspiring musicality. Music director and conductor Terry Lowry says she has that “rare star quality that is difficult to describe, but impossible to miss.” Clarissa debuted at the Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago in front of ten thousand people when she was nine years old. She has performed solo recitals and concerto engagements at venues throughout North America and Europe. Recent and upcoming soloist performances include the opening concert of the Mozartwoche 2023 with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the premier recording of the Augusta Read Thomas concerto with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Cape Symphony, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, Orchestra della Toscana, Orchestra Filarmonica di Benevento, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, El Sistema Orchestra and the Salzburger Orchester Solisten. Winner of several international competitions, she was awarded First Prize, Audience Award and Special Bärenreiter Award at the International Mozart Competition Salzburg. She was also awarded the Grand Prize at the Cape Symphony International Violin Concerto Competition. She is a Young Artist of the Classically Connected Organization in New York, and an Affiliate Artist of the Guarneri Hall Program in Chicago. An avid and enthusiastic learner, Clarissa received her Bachelor of Music at age sixteen, graduating summa cum laude. In 2021, she completed her Master of Music in Violin Performance at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Pierre Amoyal. She is currently studying with Antje Weithaas at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. Clarissa released her debut album “Dream Catcher” by Nimbus Records, featuring Augusta Read Thomas complete works for solo violin, and Violin Concerto no. #3: “Juggler in Paradise” with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by conductor Vimbayi Kaziboni. Passionate about historic violins, at age fourteen she was selected as the youngest violinist to perform regularly with the precious Stradivari collection of the Violin Museum in Cremona. Glass Marcano, direttore
Glass Marcano was born in Venezuela (San Felipe) and began very young her musical studies, being part of the extraordinary project “El Sistema”, the National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras and Choirs founded by José Antonio Abreu. At the age of 8 she took violin lessons at the Conservatorio de Música Blanca Estrella de Mescoli, becoming then a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de San Felipe in Venezuela. Her musical training continued and she was a member of many national orchestras until October 2012. A natural, she began studying conducting with Teresa Hernandez then at the Universidad Experimental de las Artes with Alfredo Rugeles and graduated in 2017. Marcano continued then to participate in conducting masterclasses with teachers such as François-Xavier Roth, Johannes Schläfli, Giancarlos Guerrero, Claire Gibault, Maxime Pascal and Sabrié Bekirova. In 2018 she was appointed Principal Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil Simón Bolívar, composed of members of El Sistema program. In the following years she conducted some of the most important youth orchestras of Latin America but the turning point was in 2020 when her talent was spotted and she was selected among the 12 finalists to participate in the first edition of La Maestra Competition in Paris, winning the Orchestra Award. Since then, Marcano has conducted several orchestras like Orchestre de l’ Opera de Tours, Orquestra Gulbenkian, Filarmónica de Bogotà, Orquesta Sinfónica de Cartagena, Paris Mozart Orchestra, Orchestre Le Balcon and Orchestre national de Lyon and filled the role of assistant conductor for François-Xavier Roth, Kazushi Ono. In summer 2022, Glass completed a tour with the Chineke! Junior Orchestra, in which the profound values in which she believes combined with the passion and enthusiasm of the musicians of this formidable ensemble were the perfect recipe of outstanding performances at the opening concert of Lucerne Festival, Berlin Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgobouw and London Clore Ballroom. The coming engagements include her debut with Brussels Philharmonic in the frame of the Flagey Musiq3 Festival in Brussels (Belgium), with Orchestra Filarmonica «Arturo Toscanini» in Lerici (Italy), the opening concert of the 2023 Brucknerfest in Linz (Austria), with the Ensemble Obiora in Montreal (Canada), with the Wiener Concert-Verein in the Brahms Saal at the Vienna Musikverein (Austria), with the Filharmonia Zielonogorska (Poland), with the Oackland Symphony (USA), with the Orchestre Metropolitaine de Montreal (Canada) with the Pforzheim Symphony (Germany) and Orchestre de Chambre de Genéve (Switzerland). She graduated in law in 2022 at the Universidad Central of Venezuela, is currently studying orchestral conducting at the Paris Conservatory under the guidance of Pierre Michel Durand and she is about to finish her Bachelor in orchestral conducting at the Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes de Venezuela.
